Where I write

Then there’s the sounds that go with the view. The cawing of crows and ravens and the high pitched call of an eagle. Or the cacophony of sound an army of small birds made the day a Barred owl perched in a Douglas fir. I watched as a hummingbird darted forward to stab the enemy in the chest with a tiny beak. Despite his or her bravery, the owl didn’t budge. Continue reading

Interruptions interfere with writing

I thought it was just me. But it turns out that interruptions are detrimal to the writing process. The human brain was built to concentrate on one thing at a time. And a Univeristy of California study shows that dealing with interruptions gets more difficult the older a person gets. Continue reading
